This client had bought a wreck of a property and wanted to completely refurbish in a very short timescale as a baby was on the way! They had already established that they wanted a vintage style with a modern colour scheme using greys and had plenty images of their inspiration. They had also salvaged some items they wanted to incorporate into the build; some flooring, a cast iron radiator and a fire surround. We were able to introduce them to some of our suppliers and helped them develop an interior specification that tied all of their preferences, and salvaged materials, together.

The results were perfect for a family who we were told love hosting; a large open plan ground floor, with shaker kitchen, iroko worktops and wide, golden, brushed and scraped engineered oak flooring that really highlights the vintage feel to the property. This is really complemented by the painted brickwork on the two chimney breasts. The salvaged flooring was stained and varnished and used in the children’s rooms upstairs, providing a great wipeable play surface! The hole house is tied together with the colour scheme using a grey palette.
